N° of bedrooms/beds: 1 dormitory for 12 people (6 bunk beds), 1 room for 4 people (2 double bunk beds for 1 and a half), 1 room for 2 people (1 bunk bed), 1 emergency sofa bed for 2 people in the lounge on the ground floor

Rumori/silenzio del bosco, assenza di inquinamento luminoso, il fresco della val fredda, Menù del viandante (richiedere all’atto della prenotazione il kit pasto, con contenuti da concordare e costi conseguenti da concordare, per la preparazione del pasto in autonomia). Located in the Mompiano Valley (beginning of Val Fredda), the Refuge is managed by the volunteers of “Gnari dè Mompià odv”. It can be reached walking along the descending paths from Monte Maddalena and from Cascina Margherita or using the slightly uphill path alongside the former powder keg, the ArteValle site and the Garzetta torrent.The structure is divided into a living area for 25-30 people equipped with a modern community kitchen, and a sleeping area for 18-20 people. The two toilets are heated with a shower; the one on the ground floor is reserved for disabled. Heating is guaranteed by two fireplaces equipped with fume recovery fed with wood from the surrounding forest. Electricity and water supply are via the public network. An emergency telephone is available. The Refuge is self-managed and does not provide bar or restaurant services.
