LA LUNA TRA I RAMI DEL BOSCO di Ars Ruralis
The artwork “The Moon Among the Tree Branches” was created by “Ars Ruralis”, a collective formed by Valentina Grossi and Simone Mulazzani, which has been active for over a decade in the fields of public art, land art and creative education. The moon exerts an ancestral pull; it has a direct influence on the lives of living beings and is an image that art has always interpreted. The artwork, made from interwoven branches, evokes the familiar charm of our satellite, all the more so when it appears amongst the branches of a woodland.
The installation was created for the environmental art project “Maddalena Bosco dell’Arte”, promoted by AAB, the Association of Brescian Artists.

Biography
Ars Ruralis is a multidisciplinary art project founded by visual artists, performers and researchers Simone Mulazzani and Valentina Grossi. This duo, comprising Mulazzani — who combines his visual and performative practice with his expertise as an anthropologist, ethnomusicologist and poet — and Grossi, who enriches the partnership with her experience as a set designer, focuses its research on exploring the profound relationship between humankind and nature. Their enquiry is expressed through the languages of ecosophical art, land art, public and civic art, artistic craftsmanship and performance. To give shape to their works, the collective primarily uses natural elements and traditional techniques, working with raw materials such as wood, plant fibres, wool, metals and clay.
