IL CUSTODE di Matteo Cretti

Matteo Cretti's Lion welcomes visitors at the start of the trail connecting Maddalena to Brescia. Majestic and symbolic, it is not just a sculpture, but a guardian watching over the path and introducing visitors to an experience where nature, art and memory intertwine. A universal emblem of strength and courage, the lion also recalls the identity of Brescia, the “Lioness of Italy”, celebrated by Aleardo Aleardi for its proud and resilient spirit. The work thus becomes a rite of passage, an invitation to reflection and dialogue with the landscape and history of the area.
