IL TASSO by Rodolfo Liprandi

Four works are planned for the birth of "Maddalena il Bosco dell’Arte" a project promoted by the Associazione Artisti Bresciani. The first work was inaugurated on April 28, 2023 and was created by Rodolfo Liprandi, an Italian artist but resident in Warsaw who transforms the materials of the forest into the animals that inhabit it. The subject chosen for the Maddalena Mount is a large badger and was created through a creative process carried out entirely within the forest, through a direct dialogue with it. This artistic intervention creates a fairy-tale dimension, drawing attention to the local biodiversity. The yew tree represents the birth of an art path on the Maddalena, which is part of the larger project called the Via delle Sorelle, 130 km and 6 stages, linking Bergamo and Brescia, together Italian Capital of Culture 2023.

Biography

Nature, an omnipresent element of particular relevance in the life of Rodolfo Liprandi (Trieste, 1994), becomes the focus of his personal artistic research path. Land Art, because of the centrality of nature with respect to man, is the artistic field that fascinates him most during his studies and that he decides to explore concretely, seeking a balance with the materials that nature offers us. Over the years he has developed considerable experience regarding the logistical dynamics of interacting and making works in natural or semi-natural environments, especially with animal subjects. Since 2018 he has been working mainly in public settings, collaborating with institutions, parks and associations that promote cultural events and activities aimed at the enhancement and care of the territory and biodiversity. Rodolfo Liprandi's installations are created with the aim of raising awareness and educating the viewer to respect and protect the natural heritage that surrounds us.
