LA FAMIGLIA DI CONTADINI di Lino Sanzeni
With this installation, Lino Sanzeni takes us back to an era that seems distant, almost crystallised in time, when work in the fields held an entire community together. This homage to the simple life bears the faces of three peasants, endowed with great expressiveness, made of iron and anchored to a large marble boulder, a material that generated work in Brescia for decades. Through this work, Sanzeni takes a close look at the life of the peasants, trying to represent not only the hard work and sacrifices that this work entails, but also the satisfaction derived from the contact with nature that ensues. The artist uses the anthroporphism suggested by the stone to show us the draperies that reveal and, at the same time, conceal the bodies of the three figures.

Biography
Lino Sanzeni (1946) ha vissuto la campagna bresciana per gran parte della sua vita. Nella sua ricerca stilistica è sempre ritornato al realismo delle origini, dove si cela la meraviglia, quella fatta di una bontà spontanea. Da autodidatta, Sanzeni compone le prime opere in ferro ritraendo soggetti umili, che saranno la sua ispirazione per tutte le opere a venire. Dalla sua prima mostra personale nel 1984, verrà riconosciuto sempre di più, fino a divenire un artista affermato per la sua capacità di narrare la quotidianità e il mito in una unione realistica e rivelatrice.
