FAQ

CREDENTIAL

Yes. The credential provides access to the accommodation and service network of the route, with reduced rates for the walker who carries it. In addition, the credential helps with participant count, financial support for the maintenance of the route, and its administrative management.

You can obtain the credential in two different ways: online with home delivery and online with on-site pickup. For full details on how to obtain the credential visit the dedicated page.

Each group member will fill out the credential purchase form online. They can then proceed to purchase the credential either online with home delivery or online with on-site pickup.

HOSPITALITY

It is highly recommended to book the facilities in advance to make sure there is availability.

The accommodation facilities along Via delle Sorelle offer a discounted rate to walkers, but price depends on the type of facility. You can find more information in the dedicated section.

ROUTE

No, Via delle Sorelle is an on-foot route only. A Bergamo-Brescia bike route has been created that can be traveled by bicycle.

Depending on physical fitness, it is advisable to practice walking and hiking at least in the month before the start of the walk, especially if you do not usually walk. It is advisable to train gradually, including using hiking poles and a backpack, to get used to the weight.

The amount of water varies by subject; we recommend a minimum of 1 litre in the winter and at least 2 litres in the summer.

On the interactive map you can check the presence of water refilling sites in different municipalities.

Yes, you can bring animals. But be aware that in one section (Torbiere del Sebino Peat Bog Reserve) they cannot enter, so an alternative route must be taken for a few kilometres. It is also advisable to check that the accommodation facilities chosen for overnight stay accept animals. This information can be found in the information boxes dedicated to each facility.

The best times to complete the walk are the spring and fall months. However, the trail is accessible all year round considering that it is in a hilly area. Please check the weather forecast to better prepare and see which facilities are open in the winter months.

ACCESSIBILITY

The walk is mostly on trails and some stages have challenging elevation changes. So, walking it entirely in a wheelchair is not possible.

For this information, it is recommended to ask the Association directly to evaluate which portions are more indicated for visually impaired walkers.

SERVICES

As of today, there is no luggage transport service for Via delle Sorelle, but you can contact the Association to find out how they can assist.
