This is a moderately challenging stage because it includes two mountains, Monte Croce and Monte Castello. but this is also what makes these trails so beautiful.
The fourth stage passes through the Lazzarini Gardens in Sarnico alongside Oglio River, and then continues along the Sottocorna bike/pedestrian path in Villongo, until Credaro. You can cross its historic centre going west, or from the centre take a southbound detour to visit the cycle of frescoes by Lorenzo Lotto housed in the Church of San Giorgio, the Church of San Fermo and Castel Trebecco. After Credaro, the route continues toward the municipalities of Castelli Calepio and Gandosso via CAI trail No. 701, passing by Monte della Croce and Monte del Castello. Once through the Malmera, Montecchi and Colle degli Angeli parks, you follow CAI path no. 650, which, following Cherio River, leads directly into the municipality of Gorlago.
