  • Total Length: 21,7 km
  • Difficulty by Foot: Hard

For those starting from Scanzorosciate. The sixth stage starts from Scanzorosciate and proceeds in a northerly direction through the municipality of Villa di Serio until it reaches Serio River. You follow it until Nembro where the two alternative routes reconnect.
For those starting from Nembro. The sixth stage starts from Nembro and heads to the Shrine of Madonna dello Zuccarello via the ancient Via Mercatorum. The route then follows CAI trail no. 535 and climbs to Lonno. At this point, it continues to the Church of Trasfigurazione di Nostro Signore in Brumano, passes the hamlet of Burro and arrives in the enchanting Borgo di Olera di Alzano Lombardo on the slopes of Monte Colletto where, from the churchyard of the Church of San Rocco, there is an immersive view of the surrounding nature, to be admired in silence. From here you enter Colli di Bergamo Regional Park. You then continue in the direction of Ponteranica, passing Cà del Latte to Maresana, known as the mountain of the Bergamasco people. The route descends to Rosciano, past the namesake Church and Grotta di Lourdes Shrine, to Ponteranica’s Town Hall. Along the road that runs alongside the Morla stream, you pass through the Morla Tunnel, built in the early 1900s, and officially enter the city of Bergamo. The last section climbs Colle dei Roccoli following the Quisa bike path inside Colli di Bergamo Regional Park, and then continues to Case Moroni. The scenic path from Via del Rione and Via delle Case Moroni offers unique views of Città Alta and leads directly to San Vigilio and its namesake castle. From here, you descend to enter the city walls through the gate called Porta S. Alessandro, pass Piazza della Cittadella and the Church of S. Agata in Carmine, and reach Piazza Vecchia in Bergamo Alta, the final destination of the stage and of Via Delle Sorelle.
