Stage 5 features the land of Moscato di Scanzo and its heroic vineyards. A small thriving municipality set in a truly picturesque valley. But there is so much more: Monte San Giorgio, Valli d’Argon park, the Hermitage of Argon, the small church of San Cristoforo where until the 18th century a relic believed to belong to the Holy Cross was kept, and the woods of Torre de' Roveri. This stage has two options to choose from: the direct route that leads to the lively town of Nembro, or the side route that leads to the discovery of Scanzorosciate.

The fifth stage starts from Bagnatica, passes the municipality of Brusaporto, crosses the railway line and the station of Albano Sant'Alessandro, and continues to Monte San Giorgio and Monti di Argon (in the Valli d'Argon park) following CAI trail No. 626 to the street called Via Collina Alta. On Colle d'Argon stands the church of Santa Maria in Argon, which was the hermitage of the ancient Benedictine abbey of San Paolo d'Argon, a peaceful place surrounded by woods, where the atmosphere brings you to silent admiration. The route then skirts the historic centre of Gavarno-Tribulina, passes by the Church of San Giovanni dei Boschi and proceeds in the direction of Valle del Gavarno until it reaches Villa di Serio. Part of this route crosses Monte Bastia and Roccolo parks. Here, you can choose whether to take the VIA DIRETTA route or the VIA TRAVERSA (SIDE) route.

VIA DIRETTA route arrives directly in the municipality of Nembro.

VIA TRAVERSA route, following CAI trail No. 509, leads into the village of Scanzorosciate.
